Removal
1.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.
Using a screwdriver or plastic panel remover, remove the cluster fascia upper panel (A).

3.
Using a screwdriver or plastic panel remover, remove the center fascia upper panel (A).

4.
Disconnect the heater control unit connector (A), clock and SSB connector (B).

5.
After loosening the screws, remove the heater control unit (A) from the center fascia upper panel.

Installation
1.
Install the heater control unit to the center fascia upper panel.
2.
Install the center fascia upper panel.
3.
Install the cluster fascia upper panel.
Inspection
1.
Check IPM input/output specification of windshield deicer switch using the GDS. If the specification is abnormal, replace the windshield deicer switch module.
2.
Select option "Input/output monitoring".

3.
To check the input value of windshield deicer switch in force mode, select option "Actuation test".
