Hyundai Equus: Shift Lever Repair procedures
| Removal |
| 1. |
Remove the center console.
(Refer to Body - " Floor Consol") |
| 2. |
Disconnect the sports mode connector (A).

| 3. |
Remove the shift cable assembly (A) from the shift lever assembly.
|
| 4. |
Remove the shift lever assembly (A) by removing the bolts.
|
| 5. |
Remove the clip (C ). |
| 6. |
Remove the shift cable (A) from the inhibitor by removing the nut (B).

| 7. |
Remove the shift cable assembly (B) by removing the nuts (A).
|
| Installation |
| 1. |
Install in the reverse order of removal. |

| How To Adjust Shift Cable |
| 1. |
Insert the shift cable to the bracket and hold it with a new clip. |
| 2. |
Align the manual lever hole to the hole on the transmission case and hold the position with a bar. |
| 3. |
Eliminate shift cable free play of the shift cable. |
| 4. |
Firmly hold the special bolt with a spaner and tighten the nut (A) with the specified torque.

| 5. |
Take off the bar holding the manual lever. |
| 6. |
Shifting the each position, check that the shift lever moves smoothly.
