Removal
1.
Remove the center console.
(Refer to Body - " Floor Consol")
2.
Disconnect the sports mode connector (A).

3.
Remove the shift cable assembly (A) from the shift lever assembly.

4.
Remove the shift lever assembly (A) by removing the bolts.

Tightening torque :
7.8 ~ 12.7 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.3 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 9.4 lb-ft)

5.
Remove the clip (C ).
6.
Remove the shift cable (A) from the inhibitor by removing the nut (B).

Tightening torque :
12.7 ~ 15.7 N.m (1.3 ~ 1.6 kgf.m, 9.4 ~ 11.6 lb-ft)

7.
Remove the shift cable assembly (B) by removing the nuts (A).

Tightening torque :
6.9 ~ 10.8 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 8.0 lb-ft)

Installation
1.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Adjustment
How To Adjust Shift Cable
1.
Insert the shift cable to the bracket and hold it with a new clip.
2.
Align the manual lever hole to the hole on the transmission case and hold the position with a bar.
3.
Eliminate shift cable free play of the shift cable.
4.
Firmly hold the special bolt with a spaner and tighten the nut (A) with the specified torque.

Tightening torque :
12.7 ~ 15.7 N.m (1.3 ~ 1.6 kgf.m, 9.4 ~ 11.6 lb-ft)

5.
Take off the bar holding the manual lever.
6.
Shifting the each position, check that the shift lever moves smoothly.
