Hyundai Equus: Knee Airbag (KAB) Module Repair procedures
| Removal |
| 1. |
Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work. |
| 2. |
Remove the crash pad lower panel.
(Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") |
| 3. |
Remove the knee airbag (C) after loosening the srcrews (A) and nuts (B).

| Installation |
| 1. |
Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
| 2. |
Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes. |
| 3. |
Tighten the knee airbag mounting screws (A) and nuts (B).
|
| 4. |
Install the crash pad lower panel.
(Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") |
| 5. |
Reconnect the battery negative cable. |
| 6. |
After installing the knee airbag, confirm proper system operation:
Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should turn on for about six seconds and then go off. |
