Hyundai Equus: Front Door Module Repair procedures

Replacement

1.	Remove the front door window glass. (Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Window Glass")

2.	Remove the front door outside handle. (Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Outside Handle")

3.	Loosen the front door outside handle base mounting screw (A).

4.	Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the extension cover (A).

5.	Disconnect the outside rear view mirror connector (A).

6.	Loosen the front door latch (B) mounting screws.

After loosening the mounting bolts, then remove the front door module (A).

Tightening torque :

(A) : 7.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (0.8 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

(B) : 6.9 ~ 10.8 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 8.0 lb-ft)

8.	Disconnect the connectors (A) and front door module wiring harness (B) from the front door module.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

â€¢	The area of whole parts should be applied with sufficient grease.

â€¢	Make sure connectors are connected properly and each rod is connected securely.

â€¢	Make sure the door locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly
