Memory Power Seat (PSM) Control (For Driver)
Description
The seat operation function in PSM contains the following functions.
1.
Manual control(CAN Signal data from DDM to PDM) with manual switches
(Slide Front/Rear, Recline Front/Rear, Front Height Up/Down, Rear Height Up/Down, Cushion Extention Front/Rear, Head Rest Up/Down).
2.
Playback with position switches (P1 and P2 switches).
3.
Memory with position switches (P1 and P2 switches).
4.
Easy Access operation controls seat position according to the IGN SW PSM = Key Off > Key Off exception or IGN SW PSM = Key Off exception > Key Off
5.
Easy Entry Position Renewal
6.
During PlayBack, Easy Access operation
7.
Arbitration control
8.
Detecting error
9.

Function
Behavior For Normal State
1.
Manual control(CAN Data signal from DDM to PSM) with direction switches
(1)
Seat operation is carried out in PSM according to user handling of manual switches when the following conditions are satisfied.
A.
Manual Switches ON (Slide Front/Rear , Recline Front/Rear, Front Height Up/Down, Rear Height Up/Down, Head Rest Up/Down , Cushion Extention Front/Rear)

PSM is different from a value of maximum continuous time for each motors
A.
Slide : 20s +/- 2s
B.
Recline : 35s +/- 3s
C.
Front Height : 10s +/- 1s
D.
Rear Height : 20s +/- 1.5s
E.
Head Rest : 10s +/- 1s
F.
Cushion Extention : 15s +/- 1s

Manual(CAN Data signal from DDM to PSM) has priority although self-diagnosis actuator operation order is received (actuator operation ignorance)
2.
Playback With Position Switches
PSM controls a seat position according to memorized position by memory function, and PSM has 2 memories for position that is selected by CAN signal of P Back P1 CMD and P Back P2 CMD command.

A.
Exception) Playback is done without halt at P position=Not P, while playback in B+ after IGN SW = OFF > KEY IN
(3)
The playback halt play conditions
A.
If IGN SW PSM state changes IGN SW PSM=IGN > ST during playback, playback is temporarily stopped, but if it returns to IGN SW PSM=IGN state, playback is done to a memorized position after 100ms
B.
But if IGN SW PSM=ST state is more than 30 seconds, playback is not done even though IGN SW PSM state returns to IGN SW PSM = IGN

Playback and Buzzer output
A.
If CAN signal P Back P1 CMD or P Back P2 CMD receive ON, Seat moves to a memorized position
B.
Buzzer output is done even though seat is error state
C.
But, if seat position was not memorized, buzzer output is not done

The notice about playback
A.
No memorized playback CAN signals are not done playback
B.
If other playback CAN signals are received during playback, the last CAN signal have a priority playback
C.
If the same playback CAN signal is repeatedly received, a position is never moved
D.
If the difference between memorized position and present position are less than the regulation pulse(x1), motor is not move
x1) Slide and Recline are less than 12Edge(6Pulse) ,
Fr Hg, Rr Hgt, Cushion Extention and head rest are less than 8Edge(4Pulse).
3.
Memory with position switches
A.
PSM memorizes position once if one of Mem P1 CMD or Mem P2 CMD command is changed to ON.

CAN signal Mem ENB = Enable

Memory operation
A.
If CAN signal Mem P1 CMD=P1 or Mem P2 CMD=P2 is received, PSM memorizes a present seat position

The notice about memory
A.
Memory must not be clear even though battery was removed.
4.
Easy Access operation
The Easy Access operation function controls seat position according to IGN SW PSM = Key Off exceptionf>Key Off or Key Off>Key Off exception
If IGN SW PSM = Key Off exception is changed to IGN SW PSM = Key Off, seat automatically moves to getting out position, and If IGN SW PSM = Key Off is changed to IGN SW PSM = Key Off exception, seat automatically moves to getting in position

IGN SW PSM=Key Off exception > Key Off

Easy Access operation a stop condition

Easy Entry operation halt play conditions
A.
In case of button starting and IGN SW PSM ST > IGN, Easy Entry operation continuously operates
B.
If IGN SW PSM state changes IGN SW PSM=IGN > ST during Easy Entry operation, Easy Entry operation is temporarily stopped, but if it return to IGN SW PSM=IGN state, Easy Entry operation is done to memorized position after 100ms
C.
But if IGN SW PSM=ST state is more than 30 seconds, Easy Entry operation is not done even though IGN SW PSM state return to IGN SW PSM=IGN
D.
In case of BUTTON Start action during Play Back Slide Motor will continue to playback and Slide Motor exceptions move to memorized position

Relations between Easy Access operation and Playback
A.
Playback during Easy Entry operation
In case of Playback during Easy Entry operation, Easy Entry operation is stopped and start Playback
B.
Easy Exit operation during playback
In case of Easy Exit operation during Playback, Only slide motor is Easy Exit operation and slide motor exceptions move to memorized position
5.
Easy Entry Position Renewal
(1)
If CAN signal P Back1 or P Back2 is received, Easy Entry Position Renewal
A.
If CAN signal PBack1 or P Back2) is received at IGN SW=Key Off, Easy Entry Position (Slide) to Memory1( or Memory2) as a location for renewal Without taking into account any conditions
(2)
At IGN SW=Key In later In case of Manual Action Easy Entry Position to renew it
6.
Of PlayBack, Easy Access operation
(1)
Of Play Back In Key In State, In case of receiving commond Key In > Key Off
A.
Slide Play Easy Entry Operation, Slide Motor exceptions move to memorized position
(2)
Of Key Off PlayBack, When receive Key Off > Key In > Key Off command
A.
Slide Motor play Easy Access Operation or Stop operation, Slide Motor exceptions move to memorized position
B.
However, the Easy Access operation is operating Slide Motor following conditions, consider the action
In Easy Access Operation range, when Key Off > key in > Key Off
Actions range Easy Access operation only action.
(Actions range Easy Access operation: Easy Entry Posion + 50mm >= Present Position >= Easy Entry Posion - 50mm)
Out of Easy access operation range, when Key Off > key in > Key Off (Slide motor stop)
Slide Motor stop, Slide Motor exceptions move to memorized position
Actions range Easy Access operation: Present position <= Easy Entry Posion - 50mm
(In case of Slide Motor Rear direction position than easy access operation range)
7.
Arbitration Control
Power seat function is carried out according to the following priority table, If power seat requirement happen same time.

* 1 : Only slide motor
*- : non-existence condition

Notice (Manual, Playback, Easy Access operation)
(1)
Judgment the order of priority
A.
Automatic control delays a moving time for each other 100ms to prevent a inrush current overlapping when motor is running.

(2)
Control when motor running direction is a reversed turn
A.
When motor want to move a reverse turn, it is immediately stopped and move to a reverse turn after 100ms
Headrest Error
The Error is detected if pulse is below 6 pulses in 1 sec when HEADREST is operated
SLIDE run to position after HEADREST ERROR
HEADREST does not run although SLIDE run more 15mm
HEADREST does not run although HEADREST is recovery and HEADREST linkage with SLIDE operates when resetting is going.

Soft Limit
Soft Limit Setting(FR HEIGHT, RR HEIGHT, CUSHION EXT, HEAD REST)
1.
SOFT LIMIT INITIALIZATION SETTING
(1)
BOTH SOFT LIMIT Is not set at the first time (B+)
(2)
The initial set of SOFT LIMIT is initial stop position by MANUAL operation.
2.
SOFT LIMIT renewal condition
(1)
SOFT LIMIT will be renewal in case of over SOFT LIMIT position by MANUAL or PLAYBACK
(However, buzzer output is not)
(2)
SOFT LIMIT will be renewal to operation direction when the error is occurred during operating Of MANUAL or PLAYBACK.
(However, Motor output must be keep for MANUAL but renewal for PLAYBACK)
(3)
Both SOFT LIMIT will be renewal in error condition and return by only manual.
3.
SOFT LIMIT ERROR and BUZZER output
(1)
Buzzer output will be 0 times when the motor error is occurred within SOFT LIMIT range.
A.
Front Heigh : below 6 pulses in 1sec.
B.
Rear Height : below 6 pulses in 1.5sec.
C.
Cushion Extention : below 6 pulses in 1 sec.
D.
Head Rest : below 6 pulse in 1 sec.
